Artist Statement

Emerging as a multidisciplinary artist, theatre maker and designer who currently practices

in scenic and interior design fields the most, I am always interested in exploring crossboundary

opportunities to create integrated narratives through multimedia contents as well

as challenging the sensational bodily experience when one encounters spatial boundaries. I

seek to empower the captured moments within the storytelling through layers of materials,

objects, and body movements.

Meanwhile, as an immigrant artist coming from a cultural diaspora background, I am also

eager to seek a healing narrative that can arouse a collective bonding across cultures,

nations, races or genders. I am attached to explore motifs and metaphors that can connect

my works with a broader audience group through forms, emotions, and sensations. I am

always motivated by the moments that inspire me to explore collective narratives lost in

words and beyond.
